Tiffani Borcherding, MA, LPC-Associate
Supervised by Dr. Gregory Scott Sparrow, EdD, LPC-S
Welcome. I am Tiffani Borcherding, and I practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas. My journey into this work has been a path of continuous learning, shaped by a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from West Texas A&M University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Austin. I completed my graduate internship at the Jung Society of Austin, where I currently serve on the Board of Directors and continue to facilitate depth-oriented programming such as dream circles and labyrinth walks.

Upon completion of my graduate degree I attended a study abroad program in Ireland. I studied the role of mental health agencies and organizations and the ways they support collective healing. Working with international initiatives taught me how intentional policy, community programs, and preventative initiatives centering mental health and wellness can directly address the heavy realities of collective trauma.
While in Ireland I was able to witness the deeply meaningful work at the Glencree Center for Peace and Reconciliation, the vital youth and family advocacy at Barnardos, and the accessible, community-based adolescent support at Jigsaw which fundamentally shapes how I view mental health. It showed me that individual well-being is always connected to a larger whole. This experience deepened my clinical approach to multicultural counseling for immigrant populations, complex women's issues, and child and adolescent challenges. My approach as a depth counselor includes the understanding that real transformation requires looking at both the personal inner landscape and the broader collective/cultural context.
As a former professional educator working with high school students for nearly a decade, I bring a firsthand perspective to how we navigate life stages, developmental tasks, and the turning points that define us. Human growth is a series of distinct thresholds with each task bringing its own psychological demands and identity shifts. It is deeply personal work, but it does not have to be solitary.
Whether you are moving through the landscape of anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, or working through the complexities of neurodivergence like ADHD or autism, your unique way of being in the world is respected. I frequently help people untangle long-standing difficulties related to codependency, emotional regulation, and family conflict, as well as the unique thresholds of divorce, women's issues, and deep spiritual exploration. Given my background, I also hold a deep understanding of school issues, education and learning disabilities, as well as the profound fatigue experienced by caregivers and seniors. We will look beyond your current stressors to explore the patterns, symbols, and root causes that shape your experience.
My approach is inherently integrative, drawing from a wide range of psychological traditions to honor the complexity of your life. I rely heavily on Jungian and Depth Psychology perspectives to understand the symbolic language of your dreams and inner life, while grounding our conversations in existential, narrative, and person-centered philosophies. Our sessions are always culturally sensitive and respect the actual context of your daily reality. I approach therapy not as a clinical repair shop where we fix flaws, but as a collaborative act of uncovering who you truly are.
If you are tired of merely coping and are ready to navigate your next chapter with clarity and intent, I invite you to step into this work with me. We will light a lantern, look at the shadows together, and reconnect you with your own intuition and creative agency.
